Drifter Corp. is a four-piece prog rock band from New York City, brought together after crossing paths at an NYU gig and realizing they had something worth making. They get together every week at a studio in Long Island to write, record, and produce their own stuff — and they move fast: three months in, their debut album Ebbs N' Flows is already in the mixing stage. The album is 8 tracks deep, exploring nihilism and the everyday things we all deal with — politics, love, career, social pressure, and more. None of them are classically trained, and that's kind of the point. They make music that's fun to listen to but has something to say, using it as a way to put real thoughts and ideas out into the world. Ebbs N' Flows is coming soon.
